Hi! My name is Brita (pronounced Bree-tah). I was born & raised in St. Paul Minnesota and currently living in Northeast Minneapolis. I live with my partner Danny, our son George and our two cats.

I have worked in restaurant managment for over 11 years in the heart of downtown Minneapolis at Hell's Kitchen, 'America's most booked restaurant'. I started as a host, became a Floor Manager, became the Host Department Manager, then grew to be the Front of House Manager.

Then, I stepped down to exclusively Floor Managing so I could focus on Mathematics in College. But what would I do with my degree? Being an avid Carl Sagan fan, going the scientific route was an idea, but what about Engineering? And what about tech?? And then... Covid. That brings us here. I didn't want to continue paying college tuition to watch seminars online and I started studying coding. HTML, CSS, Vanilla Javascript and React.

My social nature brought me back to work at Hell's Kitchen when the world started to open up again, just with a new skill set and hobby. I missed being around people. I am currently running the Banquets and Events department, working closely with the company President on financials and reporting, and letting my pent up creativity out in the form of marketing and copywriting.
